While there are many large charitable organization the help benefit the needy in the Philippines, these organizations are typically big picture aligned in their goals, often focused on long-term goals to help lower poverty levels for an entire country or district which can make a small donation feel like a drop in the bucket.  

An important goal for sure, but what about the child you pass by on the street today crying from hunger, or the line of children looking in on a school at the more fortunate that were able to afford school supplies and lunch?  Who are these kids?  Who will help them today?  

We started One Heart for Humanity to focus on helping the individual child get access to the necessities they need today (Nutrition, Clothing, Education, and Healthcare).  We endeavor to connect the big hearts with available resources in the United States to the individual in the Philippines who needs your help today.  A meal for tonight, or medicine for this week, and school supplies to attend class tomorrow.  We focus on the right now.  What can I do today? What can you do today? Help us help change the life of a child today and offer a bridge to a better tomorrow.

That's why we started this small non-for-profit, to help a child, to help a family, to help a local neighborhood lift themselves out of hopelessness by giving a helping hand today. 

Yes!  One Heart for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send this upon successful completion of your donation.

Founder's Story 

In December 2020, my journey into an unofficial charity project began in the Philippines, where I was profoundly moved by the struggles and sufferings of many, particularly hungry children.  The lasting impact of those vivid images compelled me to take action, despite uncertainty about where to begin. During my subsequent visit the following year, through prayers and divine guidance, I connected with a local charity group that provided the necessary resources.  This enabled us to organize a meaningful 5-day gift giving program leading up to Christmas 2021, where we distributed groceries to 500 families across five neighborhoods.   As we expanded our reach, my determination to help more people grew stronger, leading me to seek small donations from friends and family in the US.

The profound humility and gratitude I felt from my experiences in the Philippines motivated me to embrace it as my life's mission upon returning to the US.  Motivated by this eye-opening and deeply humbling experience, I embarked on the creation of One Heart for Humanity with the goal of expanding our reach to more individuals in the Philippines and potentially extending our impact to people across the globe.  I humbly appeal to you for a donation of any amount to sustain our mission of supporting impoverished families throughout the Philippines.  Your remarkable generosity holds the power to touch the lives of countless individuals, making a profound and lasting difference in their lives.
